More than $55 million worth of contracts have been awarded to Aboriginal Business Enterprises (ABEs) under the $1.1 billion remote housing investment package, Our Community. Our Future. Our Homes.
As at 30 November 2019, 59 new homes have been constructed, 181 homes have been extended, and 317 lots have been serviced with another 640 lots planned.
In line with the program’s focus to developing ABEs opportunities for joint ventures, and local employment, over half of these contracts have been awarded to ABEs.
