Room to Breathe works are continuing in Kybrook Farm. A family staying in transitional accommodation talk about their excitement and anticipation at moving into their newly renovated home in coming weeks, and what it will mean to their family.
After looking at Room to Breathe works in progress, it only heightened Owenetta and Brayden’s anticipation to return home. The couple moved into transitional accommodation two weeks ago with Brayden’s sister and his mother, and four children, while upgrades are being undertaken on their home. “We need extra bedrooms because we’ve got a two bedroom,” Brayden said. It is one of 11 homes in Kybrook Farm receiving Room to Breathe upgrades as part of the $1.1 billion remote housing investment package Our Community. Our Future. Our Homes. Owenetta said the space will create a better lifestyle for their children. “I think the work that’s going on now is pretty good. It gives us more space and more room for the kids to play." “We went and had a look at it. It’s pretty neat inside, we’re so excited to move in." "The kids, they love it too – they’ve seen what’s happening there, they got really happy,” Owenetta said. “I think there’s a better future here now for our kids,” Brayden said. |
