On June 13-14 2019, over 250 delegates from across the Territory and interstate attended the department’s annual remote housing industry forum in Darwin. It was a chance for Aboriginal business enterprises (ABEs) and interested industry and private businesses to talk to us about the Our Community. Our Future. Our Homes. program.
Businesses and government agencies had the opportunity to promote their work at the ‘Business Hub’ and network with industry and government departments.
The focus of the forum was on being business-ready, and included sessions on procurement, a panel with NTG agencies involved in the program, a keynote address from the NT Independent Commissioner Against Corruption, and case studies from ABEs.
The event had a record number of registrations and feedback from delegates was that it was incredibly valuable.
