Areyonga local Martin Dipper is working for Tangentyere Construction on the Room to Breathe program.
The project Martin is working on at the moment is extra special…he’s working on extensions to his own family home, which include an extra bedroom and enclosed verandah.
A keen footballer, Martin says he’s enjoying his work with Tangentyere.
“I like to work on housing and working on, renovating houses,” he said.
Tangentyere Constructions Assistant Manager Bradley Parsons says it’s important for their business to be involved in the remote housing investment program, in the remote community.
“We carry out training with local indigenous people within the area that we’re working in, and Room to Breathe is another project where we can showcase what the company does,” he said.
Martin encouraged others to get involved where possible.
“For me it’s really special… this, I made for myself, you know, this better life, you have to look for the better life. They’re (my family) are all proud, and I’m proud too. I’m proud to be working,” he said.

Martin Dipper is proud to work on Room to Breathe upgrades in his own community of Areyonga.
